What You Pay

(You pay half of the cost of the Maximum Allowed Amount* for dental services.)

*Maximum Allowed Amount: the most the Plan will pay for a service.

50% coinsurance + any amount your dentist charges above the Maximum Allowed Amount*.

For Example:

  • Your dentist charges $50 for a service.
  • The Plan’s allowed amount is $30. The Plan pays 50% of $30, which is $15.
  • You will owe $35 total. This includes $15 (half of the cost of the allowed amount) + $20 (the difference between the $50 charged and the allowed amount of $30).

Note: You may pay more than half of the bill if your dentist charges more than the allowed amount. Ask your dentist’s office how much the service will cost before you get care.

Who’s Covered Employees only. Your dependents do not have dental coverage.
